What I've enjoyed doing to keep my Faith

A lot of people have asked me how I’m keeping in tune with my faith and Church family during these times so I figured today would be a great day to let you know what I’ve been enjoying that you should checkout too.
Yesterday was a terrible day for the weather and of course it was my day off so I was looking for stuff to do. I turned on my FORMED app and found two great movies. The first one was about Solanus Casey, a Capuchin friar from Wisconsin who had the ability to heal and prophesied people who came to him. It is an older documentary with very little variation in photos used but a fantastic story. I also watched a movie about Saint Don Bosco. This was not a documentary but a recreation of his life and it’s incredible. Not only does it display the social and political destruction of Turin and the Church, it shows just how much of an impact Don Bosco made with his mission and his perpetual go ahead attitude and trust in God. Both films are about 90 minutes and FORMED is great because you can watch in parts and they’ll save your spot.
Apart from watching television, I have done a fair amount of spiritual reading too. Recently I’ve stumbled upon “A Month with Saint Paul” it was written and published in Derby at the old Paulinian center. Each day offers a virtue to focus on along with readings from St. Paul and his apostles. I usually read this before my morning Rosary and meditate on the virtue while praying.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting our Holy Week Masses online, it felt great to know I was praying along with my family again. If you have any movie or book recommendations for me please let me know as well as anything you want to see from us here.
God Bless,
Jonathan
