PARISH VEGETABLE GARDEN
The parish vegetable garden is in full bloom! Each week volunteers have delivered freshly picked, organic produce to Operation Good Neighbor to be distributed to our neighbors in need. This week bushels of squash were delivered within minutes of being picked. If you know of someone in need, please contact the parish office so that we can provide them with fresh, organic produce. If you would like to get involved in the parish vegetable garden project, call Greg Jones at 947-5853.

Friday Evening in the Garden
BJPII's first ever 'Friday in the Garden' musical event was a success. Although the weather was wet all around Western New York, the garden stayed dry for the evening as we enjoyed the sounds of award-winning singer/composer Doug Yeomans, and his guitar.
Our second 'Friday in the Garden' event was also very successful. We welcomed the husband/wife duo, Kindred, who entertained everyone with cello and guitar on July 19th.

PARISH CELEBRATES THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF UPCOMING CANONIZATION OF BLESSED JOHN PAUL II
Bishop Richard J. Malone:
Statement on canonization of John XXIII, John Paul II
This is a day of great joy for the entire Catholic Church. By approving the canonization of Blessed John Paul II and Blessed John XXIII, Pope Francis has recognized the selfless contributions of two holy men who shepherded the Church during very different, very important times.
John XXIII’s leadership during the Second Vatican Council, combined with John Paul II’s guidance as the Church truly became global, his call to the New Evangelization, outreach to inactive Catholics and transformation of the culture, all worked to inspire countless people to witness their faith and work to better the lives of others.
It is my prayer and hope that these modern day saints will inspire people, especially the young, to faithfully serve the Church and all of mankind.
