Saturday, September 18 (11am-5:30pm) – We will attend 4:30PM Mass together as a group…this is part of the Retreat and MAY NOT be skipped!
Your First Assignment – Due to Mrs. Manley NO LATER THAN April 11, 2021
Write a one- page essay (double-spaced; 12 point font)
In your essay, include the following:
1. Some basic information about yourself: where you go to school, what you hope to do after High School
2. Why this sacrament is important to you personally? What does it mean in your life?
3. Tell how you feel you have been prepared to receive this sacrament so far. Tell who has helped you to prepare.
In what way have they helped?
4. Describe ways you plan to continue to learn about Jesus and the Catholic faith after you are confirmed.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic protocols:
Attire for Mass:
Dress up… this is a once- in- a- lifetime occasion!
Women generally wear dresses, skirts and dress top, or dress slacks and top.
Men generally wear dress slacks, dress shirts, and a tie (jacket optional)
NO SNEAKERS!
Photography
MOST LIKELY - We will have a professional photographer present to take a picture of each person as they receive the Sacrament.
Rehearsal:
Usually the week before Confirmation day (TBD)
- Candidate attendance is expected.
- Sponsor attendance (or one parent) is highly recommended.

The chief celebrant and administrator of the sacrament will be:

Due to COVID-19 pandemic protocols:
- Everyone in attendance must wear a mask.
- Seating is limited to the candidates, sponsors and parents/guardians of the candidate (No more than 5 people, total)
- It may be necessary to seat two families in the longest rows. However, we will maintain at least six feet of physical distance between those families.
- Church pews are sanitized after every Mass; they will be cleaned prior to the Confirmation Mass.
