Advent Reflection- Day #1 (First Sunday of Advent)

11/28/2021

Today's readings speak about two comings of Jesus: as the fulfillment of God’s promise to the Chosen People when Jesus appeared on earth, and as the Judge at the end of time. Both our Old Testament reading from the book of Jeremiah, and our New Testament reading from St. Paul, offer words of hope and encouragement as they anticipate these events. These readings are appropriate as we enter the season of Advent; A season of expectation and hope!  St. Paul advises his readers to increase and abound in love for one another. This is a message we hear often:  Love one another!  We pray that these words will resound in our hearts throughout this Advent Season as we prepare for the coming of our Lord.

During this time of waiting, let’s look for, and find ways to show love to our family, our friends, and even to strangers.   Advent Blessings….
