Joan used to live with her mother, where her siblings, nieces and nephews would come to visit every Sunday when the children were younger. Her nephew Brian would come to care for her in her latest twenty-five years.

A wonderful caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her son Terry (Michelle) Cook of Vero Beach FL; daughters, Wendy (Dr. Marc) Savett of Lakewood, NY, Kathryn (Michael) Lotz of Forestville, NY, Cindy (the late Clifford P.) Schmitz of Derby, NY, and Susan (David) Hall of Albion, PA. She is survived by 13 devoted and cherished grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
