DARGAVEL, Dean W. “Deano” , 60, of Hamburg, died June 22. Dargavel was the husband of Jeanne Palmer; son of Dorothy (nee McGarrity) (late William) Dargavel; brother of Debbie (Tony) Ceccarelli and Alan Dargavel; uncle of Lauren and Alan Ceccarelli, and Kate and Elaine (Palmer) Jackowski; “brother” to the James Palmer family. He was a golfer and a top contender in many local golf tournaments, as well as a wealth of sports trivia and a Bills and Sabres fan. He spent winters in Florida with his wife and family after retiring from A.D.M. Milling & Pillsbury in Buffalo. Eugene R. Burgess Sr., of Hanford Bay and Hamburg, a teacher, coach and guidance counselor, died Jan. 7 in Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 94. His wife of 44 years, Jeannette L. Stephens Burgess, died in 1986. He was married in 1993 to the former Ursula Hamusa. In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Stephen and Joseph; three daughters, Ann Conklin, Linda and Julie Sabrosky; three stepsons, Dr. Wolfgang Miggiani, Victor Miggiani and Christian Miggiani; a stepdaughter, Rose Pavolko; a sister, Muriel Spordone; 15 grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. DARGAVEL, Dean W. “Deano” , 60, of Hamburg, died June 22. Dargavel was the husband of Jeanne Palmer; son of Dorothy (nee McGarrity) (late William) Dargavel; brother of Debbie (Tony) Ceccarelli and Alan Dargavel; uncle of Lauren and Alan Ceccarelli, and Kate and Elaine (Palmer) Jackowski; “brother” to the James Palmer family. Eugene R. Burgess Sr., of Hanford Bay and Hamburg, a teacher, coach and guidance counselor, died Jan. 7 in Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 94. His wife of 44 years, Jeannette L. Stephens Burgess, died in 1986. He was married in 1993 to the former Ursula Hamusa.
